We break down fancy legal jargon into everyday terms that anyone can understanding.

We are on a mission to eliminate false confessions, police abuse, and wrongful convictions of teens.

Meet the Founder

I am April Preyar.  I am a Chicago native and I have been a criminal defense attorney in my hometown for over 26 years.  

I am also a former law school professor and a national TV legal analyst.  I've appeared on national TV over 80 times.  

After practicing law for nearly two decades, my younger cousin got arrested for something that was totally preventable.  In fact, his parents' well-meaning, legally flawed advice was the sole reason for his arrest.  

I quickly realized that, though I had known him since he was born, I had never taken the time to prepare him for a police stop.

Even though I ultimately won his case, I was determined to save other teens and young people from arrest.

I drew from the thousands of arrests I had watched on body-worn and dashcam videos and the tens of thousands of reports I reviewed and I identified patterns.

Those patterns became the basis for the lessons in the game.

The game is the linchpin of all JUSTUS JUNKIE educational products.

I created this education with my cousin mind, but my aim is to protect all of our sons, daughters, nephews, and nieces.
