After 25 years as a criminal defense attorney, I’ve seen this pattern over and over: 

Good kids. 

Flashing Lights. 

One moment of panic.

Months or years of court dates.


Most parents try to prepare their kids by saying: 

“Be polite.” 

“Don’t argue.” 

“Facetime me if something happens.”

But none of that teaches teens what actually happens during a stop—or how quickly things escalate. 

So, I teach frameworks that teens will innately remember under pressure.

FRAMEWORK #1: The 0 - 60 Seconds Rule: Teens don’t realize how much officers decide before the conversation even starts. This framework teaches:

  •  How to stop answering questions without escalating.

FRAMEWORK #3: NOT MY CAR, STILL MY PROBLEM: Group stops create the most legal risk and teens never see it coming. This framework teaches: 

  •  How passengers complicate a traffic stop; 
  •  Why saying, "It's not mine" doesn't help you;

FRAMEWORK #4: SIMON SAYS IS DEAD: Teens get lulled into a mindless game of Simon Says, thinking they must do every thing the officer says and mimic all of his actions. This framework teaches:

• When to comply and when not to;

• How to keep emotions calm while telling the officer "no."
